Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember things between page loads — for example, whether you have already answered the cookie notice. Cookies do not run programs or carry viruses. They are a basic part of how most websites work.
Ticklore uses a small number of cookies. We do not use them to build profiles, track you across other sites, or serve advertising.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies — always active
These allow the website to function. They store your cookie consent choice so we do not show the banner on every visit. These cannot be switched off without breaking basic site behaviour.
Duration: session or up to 12 months
Analytics cookies — optional
If accepted, these allow us to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read most, how long sessions last, and where visitors come from. Data is anonymised and aggregated. We use Google Analytics if this category is enabled.
Duration: up to 2 years (Google Analytics default)
Marketing cookies — optional
If accepted, these may be set by advertising platforms to measure the effectiveness of any campaigns we run. We do not currently run paid advertising, but this setting is available if we do so in the future.
Duration: up to 90 days
Preference cookies — optional
These remember choices you make on the site that affect how it is displayed — for example, a preferred language if we add that feature. Currently minimal in use.
Duration: up to 12 months
Third-party cookies
If analytics cookies are accepted, Google Analytics may set cookies from its own domain. Google's own privacy practices apply to that data. We do not use social media plugins or embedded third-party advertising on this site.
The Google Maps iframe on the homepage is served by Google and may set cookies under Google's terms if you interact with the map.
Manage your preferences
Use the controls below to set your preferences. Changes take effect immediately and are stored in your browser. Rejecting optional cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

Your rights
You may withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time using the controls on this page. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing already carried out.
Disabling optional cookies means we will not have access to aggregated usage data, which helps us understand which parts of the site are most useful. The site will still function fully without them.
For questions about how we handle data collected via cookies, contact us at [email protected].
